Communities of Practice are groups of people who share a common passion for something that they know, how to do and who interact regularly to practice and perfect the crafts.
This is a 5 minute talk which will focus on lessons learned about creating and sustaining local and virtual/distributed CoPs.
Communities of practice are on the rise and sprawling - Agile Alliance itself is ONE! You will find meet up groups, local interest groups and user groups meeting together locally.
Google hangouts and virtual lean coffees are the "IN" thing. And if you haven't heard of any of these - you've come to the right place!
This talk will introduce audience to:
- Find the right places, people and forms to connect with.
- Help enthusiasts and practitioners to get involved with their choice of local, virtual communities and share learning's from personal experiences of presenters.
- Broaden the horizon of members by interacting with experts about getting more information of new/established communities of practice.
- I will be sharing value audience can get from being a part of such groups and anecdotes of how we faltered and got back up and succeeded!
